What do you want to know about me?

Here’s one thing… I love a good laugh and if I don’t see a smile, I have been known to sacrifice a portion of my dignity in the hopes of causing a grin or two or three…

My tombstone should read: She died, laughing.

I’m just an average girl (well, I past the ‘girl’ stage a while ago) who’s just purposefully meandering through life… I despise folding laundry. (Maybe I should put that in caps?!?!) I can cook and I can cook well (or is that good?), but I prefer just to throw everything together and WAA-LAA! Deliciousness! (Don’t ask Football Fan about the Turkey Tetrazzini, really, DON’T.) My husband is a pastor (aka – Football Fan) and so, that makes me the proverbial pastor’s wife who can’t carry a tune in a bucket, who can’t play any instruments, but I can clean a toilet like nobody ain’t ever seen in this lifetime!  I enjoy photography, numbers, and reading and oh yeah, channel surfing (because it ABSOLUTELY drives Football Fan nuts! 😉 ) I was the mode of transportation for 2 lovely creatures who are as different as night and day…  Camo Kid (night) and Princess Pink (day).  They’re both girls… Can you figure out what their favorite colors are?

Okay, on a seriously serious note, in November of 2014, I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and was gifted the NED (No Evidence of Disease) status in November of 2015. In July of 2016, my card-carrying privilege of NED was permantly revoked when I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. This means that one day, possibly sooner rather than later, I will most likely die of cancer-related issues unless something else kills me first or the Lord returns. I blog about whatever, but my writing efforts have become centered around life with cancer.  Feel free to peruse through my cancer journey via the Life’s Lumps and Bumps.

Tell me about you… ‘k?

Oh, and I LOVE SMILEY FACES!  See anything, post me a link or a note or a product to support my habit because a world without smiles means nobody’s laughing… And that’s just sad because laughter makes the world go ’round and ’round and ’round!

  1. I’m escaping my world via your blog…btw, I remember you playing a recorder and I thought you could sing rather well. Must be a figment of my imagination?

  2. Thank you, SmiLee, for your encouraging words today. I see that same spirit in your writing. What a gift it was to be able to talk with you and hear your heart. I look forward to reading more of your blog and discovering more of your journey. May our Heavenly Father surround you with His peace through Jesus Christ our Lord.
“He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.” Psalm 91:4
Lifting you up in prayer! 🙂 🙂
